It is one of the biggest days of your life. You want your wedding photos to capture all the magic of the day and leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
We can achieve a lovely, romantic album by combining your unique personality and my creative skills.
First we have to figure out exactly what you want...
The Two Main Styles of Wedding Photography
The two main styles of wedding photography are traditional and photojournalistic. Traditional is the established, formal style, while photojournalistic is a more modern, candid style.
While the styles are distinct most people want some of each in their album. And that’s exactly what I like to do.
I prefer the photojournalistic side, where you step back and see what naturally happens. I also realise the composed style is important to most people. So most of my wedding photos are a unique blend of the two styles.
The main thing is I can bend my method to fit what you want...
Your Style
What do you want from your wedding pictures? There are all sorts of possibilities, but at the end of the day, this is all about you.
When we meet, bring me any ideas you have seen and liked. We will be able to develop creative ideas that will be delightfully you. Maybe you’re not sure about how you want your photos to look. That is okay! After a chat you will understand the options and I will be able to make sure you get a result you are enchanted with.
While I am flexible, there are some styles I just do not do. (Crazy photoshopped scenes come to mind. If you want a glowing sunset, we will have to actually take the photos at sunset.) So if we meet and I get the feeling that I am not the right photographer for you, I will let you know.
What You Get
I usually start with the bride preparation and go to the cutting of the cake. And I have packages which provide albums, framed enlargements and images on disk. Queensberry albums are also optional, if you want the very best. Of course every bride and groom is different, so I always customise the package to make it right for you. When you get in touch we’ll discuss exactly what you want.
I want to make sure you get the best results, so I insist on arranging the printing myself. Printing is a technical skill of its own (profiles and screen calibrators, anyone?). You want the best memories on your wall or in your album, not a shoddy print out which has ruined all the magic.
What About Price?
Everyone wants to know the price, but the fact is it depends on your needs, and what you want. After a quick chat, or just a few questions over email, I will be able to give you specific options to choose from. We will be able to work out a package which is the best fit for getting what you want.
Getting In Touch
If you would like to discuss your wedding, then contact me. We can have a chat where we cover your plans and what is important to you. We will also work out if we are a good fit for each other. From there we can start to put plans together.
I’m based in Tauranga, but I am willing to travel further afield for your wedding.
Use the contact form or phone 07 544 9133.
Get in touch early, as we need plenty of time to plan. There is much more involved than people normally realise, including hours of behind the scenes work for me.
